Heat, and Real Intent

Calidad Familia!!
Sounds like its been a good couple days back in the Bury. I'm super excited for Sara and Katie and the opportunity they had to go do baptisms for the dead. It really is one of the greatest saving ordinances we can do on this earth for those who have already passed beyond the grave. Peru!!!! that'll be way fun especially hiking machu pichu. Elder Nelson and I have had a few investigators from Lima and they said that its bien bonito alla, of course that is a little biased. You will both have the chance to brush up on your Spanish though, just make sure you don't lose your English 😃. Anyways the reason I still say calidad is because I consider myself more Guatemalan than El Salvadoranian, (Also because an hermana in our zone who served in Guatemala is in our zone right now and she says it all the time, so it kinda rubbed off.) Anyways this week has been pretty good for Elder Nelson and I. Its that time of year though in Cali where everything is just getting HOT!! and I mean roasty toasty. This week we had a day where it was 106 degrees!! I sweat so much that my shirt was soaked with sweat 😬 we must of drank about 8 or 9 water bottles that day (its crazy how fast you lose fluids). We've been working super hard to get Araceli on date this past week but we weren't able to catch her and we dropped Jenny altogether as an investigator she just lost real intent and she was never there when we wen't by for scheduled appointments 🙁.
So Elder Nelson and I just realized that this coming week will be are last week together we're super bummed out but it will be good for one of us to go and experience a different area. We get transfer calls this Saturday to find out if we are going or staying so we're both pretty nervous about that. Whats even weirder is that this next transfer will be our last transfer in the California San Fernando Mission R.I.P. After this next transfer it will be either Bakersfield or L.A. mission that we get sent to. But this mission will always be special to me and the people that are in it. Something that we're both a little nervous for is starting over again. When we switch missions it will be like when we first came into the field we won't know a lot of people and we wont know any areas or zones so it will kinda be like starting the mission again. However the work is the same no matter where you go and I'm willing to put my trust in him that I'm needed wherever I am sent. That's one of the coolest things about the gospel is that everything around us changes every day but the gospel is the same forever just as God is.
Thats about all from this end though it was kinda a slow week for us and our district. However I'm very grateful for all of the packages that you send me and No I don't think that was put on the FB page for you I think it was for the Hermanas because they get like 50 packages a week its ridiculous!! So I think that its ok to still send packages. This week I think the biggest thing I learned is how to be consistent even when your week is pretty slow there were times where me and Elder Nelson didn't know what to do because all of our appointments fell through so we just started knocking and tracting. I remembered a quote from a general authority I don't remember who but he said its not about how long you're out of the apartment but the quality of the time that you used. So always being diligent no matter what happens even if your week has been slow.
I hope that everyone has a good week and that the sissies had a good time at the temple it really is an important work that you are doing. Les Amo muchisimo (don't be afraid of the chickens buddy)
